Billing, Refunds and Cancellation
Effective October 1, 2026
This page explains how you're billed for CallsIn, how to cancel, and our refund policy. It's part of our Terms of Service.
The short version: try CallsIn free first, then pick a plan. All payments are nonrefundable, and there are no refunds or credits for partly used months or years. You can cancel anytime, and you keep using CallsIn until the end of the period you paid for.
Free trial
New accounts can try CallsIn free for 14 days. No card is needed, so nothing is charged during the trial or after it unless you pick a plan. The trial includes missed-call text-back and a few free minutes of the AI receptionist so you can hear it on real calls.
If you don't pick a plan by the end of the trial, calls and texts stop. We hold your CallsIn number for 30 days after that. Pick a plan in that time and everything turns back on with the same number.
How billing works
- Plans are paid in advance. Monthly plans are charged every month and yearly plans every year, starting the day you pick the plan.
- Plans renew automatically at the plan's price until you cancel. Before you start or change a plan, you check a box that says so.
- We email you before each renewal: about a week before for monthly plans and about 30 days before for yearly plans.
- Yearly plans cost 20% less than paying monthly.
- AI minutes are billed after you use them. Growth includes 250 AI minutes a month and Pro includes 600. Extra minutes are $0.25 each. On Lite and Starter, AI answering is optional and costs $0.39 a minute, up to a monthly limit you set. Last month's minutes show up on your next invoice (yearly plans get a small separate invoice each month).
- Calls that don't count: spam calls and calls shorter than 10 seconds are never charged as AI minutes.
- Payments go through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Receipts are emailed after every payment, and you can see all your invoices in Settings, Plan and billing.
Changing your plan
- Upgrades start right away. You pay the prorated difference for the rest of your current month or year.
- Downgrades start on your next billing date. You keep your current plan until then, and the rest of the current period isn't refunded or credited.
- Monthly to yearly switches you right away, and the unused part of your month is taken off the yearly price.
- Yearly to monthly takes effect when your year ends.
How to cancel
- Log in and go to Settings, Plan and billing.
- Click Cancel plan and pick a reason (optional).
- We may show you a discount to stay. You can take it or skip it, and cancelling still works the same way.
You can also email us to cancel. Your plan keeps working until the end of the month or year you already paid for, and then it doesn't renew. You can undo a cancellation anytime before that date.
After your plan ends, calls and texts stop. Remember to turn off call forwarding on your own phone line, or your missed calls will keep going to a number that no longer answers. Your account data is deleted 90 days after your account closes, and we email you about two weeks before that happens. Pick a plan before then and everything is still there, including your CallsIn number.
Refunds
All payments are nonrefundable. That includes monthly and yearly plans, AI minutes, and website builds. There are no refunds or credits for partly used months or years, for time your service was paused, or for features you didn't use. This applies whether you cancel, downgrade, or your account is paused or closed.
That's why every new account gets a free trial with no card needed. Use it to make sure CallsIn works for your business before you pay.
- Cancelling: your plan keeps working until the end of the month or year you already paid for. Nothing is refunded for the time left.
- Downgrading: the new plan starts at your next billing date. The rest of the current period isn't refunded or credited.
- Yearly plans: paid for the whole year up front and not refunded if you cancel partway through. The plan keeps working until the year ends, and we email you about 30 days before it renews so you can cancel in time.
- Free website with a 12-month plan: if you cancel before the 12 months are up, the regular website price is due.
Billing errors: if we charged you by mistake (for example, a double charge or a charge after your plan ended), email us within 60 days and we'll correct it. That's fixing our error, not a refund of a valid charge.
Some states give you rights that can't be taken away by a policy like this one. Nothing here limits those rights.
Billing questions
Email us at support@trycallsin.com from the email on your account, with your business name and the charge you mean. We reply within 2 business days. Corrections go back to the card you paid with, and usually show up in 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.
Failed payments
If a payment doesn't go through, we email you and Stripe tries the card again over the next few days. Your service keeps working while it retries. If the payment still fails, calls and texts pause until it's paid. Update your card in Settings, Plan and billing and everything turns back on.
If last month's AI minutes don't get paid, the AI only uses your included or free minutes until that invoice is paid. Missed-call text-back keeps working.
Disputes and chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, please email us before disputing it with your bank. We can usually sort it out faster. While a chargeback is open, we may pause the account. If a dispute is decided in our favor, the original charge stands.
Taxes
Prices don't include sales tax. If tax applies where you are, it's added at checkout and shown on your invoice.
Price changes
We may change our prices. If we do, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, and it starts at your next renewal after that. You can cancel before then if you don't want to keep going.
